3D Technology Checklist
This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:
A Display First, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession.
A Source Your display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system.
3D Content 3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game.
3D Glasses For now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands.
HDMI Cable To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality.

Enjoy streaming video from Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, VUDU, and Hulu Plus; social networking from Facebook and Twitter; a variety of music from Rhapsody and Pandora; the latest NBA action from NBA Game Time; and a wealth of other content at the touch of a button.
Optimal Viewing in Any Light
No matter your lighting arrangement, you'll always have the best picture possible thanks to built-in ambient light sensing technology. The E3D420VX automatically adjusts backlight levels based on its surroundings to optimize levels. The result is a balanced picture that will never appear washed out or too bright.
Superior Surround Sound
This HDTV also delivers advanced audio, thanks to SRS technologies. SRS TruVolume limits volume inconsistencies between programming, saving you from those incredibly loud commercials or smoothing out that action film so you don't wake the neighbors. SRS TruSurroundHD delivers an immersive surround sound experience marked by clearer dialogue, and more precise bass and high frequency signals.
Connect a thumb drive to your TV loaded with music or photos.
3 HDMI Ports
Three HDMI ports accommodate your home theater setup, Blu-ray Player, and HD cable or satellite TV, to deliver Full HD and 3D entertainment from multiple sources.
USB Media Player
The E3D420VX features two USB ports, allowing you to connect a thumb drive to your TV loaded with music or photos. MP3 format music is supported (with display of album art and other ID3 tag info), along with JPG images. Here's your chance for a fullscreen slideshow of that family vacation.
ECO HD
VIZIO's ECO HD label means this HDTV exceeds the current ENERGY STAR Guidelines, saving you money on your utility bills while limiting your carbon footprint.

Jamil renounced a life of jihad when he encountered the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, but villagers and authorities in the hills of Afghanistan respond with skepticism . . . and even violence.
Relief worker Amy Mallory is shocked by the changes in her organization—changes with dire implications for the women and children under her care. And concern for her former assistant, Jamil, weighs heavily on her heart.
Former Special Forces veteran Steve Wilson faces off against the riots and corruption of Kabul’s upcoming election. He's looking for something that will give his life purpose but is confident that he won’t find it in Afghanistan.
All three are searching for love and freedom in a country where political and religious injustice runs rampant. But when religious freedom becomes a matter of life and death, they discover that the cost of following Jesus may require the ultimate sacrifice. Read more
